An education is an achievement no one can take away.
When I decided to go to graduate school I confided in a friend that I was trying to figure out how I would pay the application fees. Never mind how I would come up with the tuition. That's another story! That day he reached in his pocket and handed me $40 to pay my application fee. He didn't know that small act of kindness would set in motion a period in my life where I would come out on the other side with a Master's degree. I'll never forget his kindness and now I have a chance to pass it on through the Jeannette Rankin Foundation Women's Scholarship Fund.
I've already donated and hope you will consider donating towards my fundraiser to support scholarships for low-income women aged 35 and older. A small donation will go a long way to helping me meet my goal.
